BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The unbeaten Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team heads to Platteville, Wisconsin Saturday, Sept. 19 to face the University of Wisconsin–Platteville at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium at 6 p.m.

The Titans kept their unbeaten streak hot with a gritty 3-1 win over the Lady Blues of Illinois College Wednesday, Sept. 16. IWU outshot IC 18-11 with the help of a brace by senior Ava Mapes (Golden, Colo.-Lakewood). Junior Taylor Haun (Metamora, Ill.-Metamora Township) scored the game-winning goal, her first score of the season, to break the Titans out of the draw going into the second half. 

Mapes is on a five-game scoring streak, and tied first in the nation in total goals (8). Mapes is also ranked third in the nation in total points (17). Mapes leads the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin in goals and points. Junior Liza Wiley (Bloomington, Ind.-Home School) is ranked first in the CCIW in shots on goal (16) and shots taken (30). The Titans are ranked in the top-50 in the nation for total assists (28th, 14 assists), total goals (36th, 16 goals), total points (36th, 46 points) and save percentage (49th, 0.886)

The Green and White and the Pioneers have only met once, last season at Neis Field where the contest ended in a 3-3 draw. UW-Platteville is on a four-game unbeaten streak (2-2) grabbing two wins from University of Mount Union and Wartburg College. The Pioneers have faced one nationally ranked opponent so far this season in No. 21 Carnegie Mellon University. UW-Platteville lost 2-1 to the Tartans. The Pioneers hold a 1-1-2 record at home.
