Box Score NORTON, MASS. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team fell 4-1 to Wheaton (Mass.) in the season opener at Keefe Field on Friday afternoon. The loss leaves the Titans 0-1 on the young season while the host Lyons improve to 1-0.
IWU was held scoreless in the first half before finding the net once in the second half. Junior
Carlo Fava scored the lone goal for the Titans on a penalty kick in the 75th minute to cut the Wheaton lead to 2-1 before the Lyons scored twice in a three minute span to pull away for the victory.Â
