SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - Despite
Katie Klosterman and
Rose Kelly tying for medalist with scores of 4-over 76, the Illinois Wesleyan women's golf team lost a dual match to Washington U. by a score of 317-322 at Panther Creek Golf Course in Springfield, Ill., on April 30.
After the top two IWU finishers, the Bears had the next six places on the par 72, 5862 yard course.
The Titans' next best finish came from
Michelle Schoch, who finished ninth with a 12-over par 84.
Megan Geraghty (86),
Brittany Levens (87) and
Amy Seter (88) were the other Titan players.
Olivia Lugar shot a 5-over 77 to lead Washington U.

Illinois Wesleyan will compete in the 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship May 14-17 at Baytowne Golf Club in Sandestin, Fla.
Illinois Wesleyan will be making its ninth straight and 11th overall NCAA appearance and finished eighth in the 2012 NCAA finals. The Titans finished third in 2011, the best ever in an NCAA tourney. IWU also placed fourth in 2008, sixth in 2000, 2006 and 2007, eighth in 2005, ninth in 2009, tenth in 2002 and 13th in 2010.
