BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team split a pair of matches on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Barker Classic III in the Shirk Center, losing in five sets to Simpson before beating North Park in four sets.

The Titans are now 11-20 overall after falling to Simpson by scores of 25-27, 21-25, 25-18, 25-18, 12-15, then handling North Park, 21-25, 25-14, 25-11, 25-16.

"I was happy to see the team battle back in our first match today," said IWU head coach Kim Nelson-Brown. "The energy and the hustle that we saw at the beginning of the season was back again today."

Illinois Wesleyan junior Kinzie Schweigert was selected to the Barker Classic III all-tournament team. Others selected included Torey Buenger, Simpson; Hannah Griffins, Concordia (Wis.); Shelby Switzer, North Park; Maggie Holcombe and Alexis Wong, Wis.-Eau Claire.

Illinois Wesleyan closes out its regular season with a home College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin match against North Central at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6. It will be "Seniors' Night" honoring the Titans' Erin Wachtel and Miya Thalmann.
