BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – More than 30 turnovers and less than 30 percent shooting from the field sent the Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball team to a 94-81 loss at Olivet Nazarene at McHie Arena on Tuesday (Dec. 4) in Bourbonnais, Ill.
Game Summary
• The Titans (now 4-3) are ranked No. 10 in the USA Today D-III Coaches' Poll and No. 15 in the D3hoops.com rankings. The Tigers (7-1) are No. 12 in the NAIA Division II rankings.

Lexi Baltes had a career-high 16 rebounds, tied for eighth most in an IWU game. Also grabbing career high rebounds were senior Michelle Baltes with 15 and freshman
Kaitlyn Mullarkey with 10.
• IWU set a single-game record with 83 rebounds, outrebounding the Tigers 83-59 with 34 on the offensive glass. The old mark was 72 at Olivet Nazarene on Dec. 13, 2010.
• Illinois Wesleyan shot only 29.6 percent from the field (29 of 98) and made 4 of 21 3-pointers (19.0 percent). The Titans made 19 of 26 free throws (73.1). Olivet Nazarene shot 36.4 percent from the floor (36 of 99) and made 14 of 60 3-point shots (23.3). The Tigers made 8 of 17 from the line (47.1).
• The Titans committed 36 turnovers compared to 26 for the Tigers. It was the most turnovers by IWU since 52 at Olivet Nazarene in 2010.
• Illinois Wesleyan held a nine-point lead with 9:27 to play in the first period before Olivet Nazarene went on a 13-0 run to grab a 32-28 edge with 6:48 to go. The Titans tied the game at 32-32 with 4:57 remaining but the Tigers outscored IWU, 19-7 over the final minutes and had a 51-39 halftime lead.
• IWU never got closer than eight points the rest of the way and the Tigers led by as many as 19 on two occasions in the second half, the latest at 88-69 with 3:37 left in the game.

• Illinois Wesleyan goes back north on Thursday (Dec. 6) for a 7 p.m. game against the University of St. Francis at the Sullivan Center in Joliet, Ill. The NAIA Saints are 3-5.
