COMPLETE RESULTS, IWU vs. ROSE-HULMAN, Nov. 3, 2012
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's swimming team defeated Rose-Hulman, 159-103, and the IWU men's team lost to the Engineers, 222-50, in a dual meet at IWU's Fort Natatorium on Saturday (Nov. 3).
Freshman
Kirsten Slaughter was a three-time winner for the Illinois Wesleyan women, taking first in the 50 freestyle (25.03 seconds), 100 freestyle (54.92), and 200 freestyle (2:01.33).
The Titans also had a pair of double-event winners - senior
Kate Haynes took first in the 100 backstroke (1:05.25) and 200 backstroke (2:22.13) while junior
Gracie Nafziger won the 200 butterfly (2:26.95) and 100 butterfly (1:04.14).
Senior
Brogan Riches won the 1000 freestyle (11:42.28) and got second in the 500 free (5:44.61)
Senior
Katie McHugh won the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:37.95 and took thirds in the 200 free (2:04.23) and 50 free (26.28 seconds).
Freshman
Lauren Dineen-Griffin got a first place in the 200 individual medley (2:21.70) and got second place in both the 100 backstroke (1:05.31) and the 100 freestyle (58.09).
Haynes, Dineen-Griffin, Nafziger and Slaughter also teamed up to win the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:59.99.
Sophomore Jessica Beringer ot second in the 100 butterfly with her time of 1:13.59.
Freshman
Victoria Bauer was third in the 200 butterfiy (2:45.29) and the 500 free (6:06.00). Sophomore
Danielle Owerko was third in the 1-meter diving (186.80) and in the 3-meter diving (179.90).
Junior
Marcus Duval got first in the 200 individual medley (2:02.70) and second plce finishes in both the 500 freestyle (5:00.43) and the 200 butterfly (2:00.76).
Junior
Kevin Skrabacz was the winner of the 200 backstroke (2:22.55).
Sophomore
Kevin Weisling was second in the 1000 freestyle in a time of 11:13.19 and freshman
Victor Lugg took third in the 100 freestyle with his clocking of 51.49 seconds.
Sophomore
Nathan Douglas was third in the 1-meter diving (173.20) and in the 3-meter diving (152.00).
