Titan Women Net 2-1 Soccer Win at Chicago

CHICAGO, Ill. - Two second half goals, by senior Tori Samson and Molly O'Brien, propelled the Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team to a 2-1 win at the University of Chicago on Saturday, Sept. 11. The win leaves the No. 14-ranked Titans with a 5-0 record.

After a scoreless first period, the Maroons scored first at 53:55 on a goal from short range by Natalie Jovanovic on an assist from Emily Benoit.

Samson got IWU tied, 1-1 at 63:32 on a header after a corner kick assist from Lauren Knaack.

O'Brien got the game-winner at 82:56 on a shot from point blank range after an assist from Carlie Hoekstra

Senior keeper Alli Novak made six saves as Chicago had 11 shots to 10 for the Titans.
