Illinois Wesleyan senior pitcher Molly McCready holds the IWU season record for strikeouts (203 in 2012) and is currently No. 2 all-time (518 through April 8, 2014). She is No. 4 in victories (45), No. 5 in innings pitched (392 2/3) and No. 2 with 15 shutouts. Her career mark of 9.23 strikeouts per seven innings is also the IWU career record.
She is a five-time College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin "Pitcher of the Week" and was the CCIW "Pitcher of the Year" in 2012 as she won 18 games overall and set an IWU game strikeout record with 17 vs. Monmouth (March 28).
A psychology and environmental studies major at Illinois Wesleyan, she is the daughter of Brent and Rebecca McCready.

Who is the luckiest person in the world? Me. I’m provided with the basic necessities in order to live without worrying when my next meal will be or if I have access to clean drinking water each day, and I am incredibly thankful for that.
