Illinois Wesleyan senior Lauren Drawbridge is a two-time team captain and was chosen as the 2012-13 team's "Most Valuable Player".
In the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin tournaments in her career, she has placed fourth at No. 3 singles in 2013, third at No. 3 singles in 2012, fourth at No. 3 singles in 2011, third at No. 6 singles in 2010.
Drawbridge teamed with Alissa Goetz to finish third at No. 2 doubles in 2012 CCIW tournament after a fourth place finish in 2011 and she and Goetz were second at No. 3 doubles in 2010 CCIW meet.
A business administration major at Illinois Wesleyan, she is the daughter of Bruce and Donna Drawbridge.


Why you chose Illinois Wesleyan: I liked the campus.

IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: Tennis for gym class.

Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? C, freshman year in an ecology class.

I’m deathly afraid of ... : planes and snakes

Worst habit: not putting my clothes away when they are clean.

Most expensive traffic ticket: $50 for parking on the wrong side of the road…in a residential area.

Language I’d like to learn: Sign language

The longest I could survive without my cell phone: 24 hours

One word your mother or father would use to describe you: Wonderful

Favorite sports figures: Andre Agassi, anyone on the Red Sox

My greatest moment in sports was: Every time I played with Alissa Goetz as my dubs partner.

The best player I ever faced was: anyone from Wheaton

Worst dresser on my team: We all look amazing.

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: White grape juice

Person I’m dying to have dinner with: Marilyn Manson

Favorite food: Pasta with alfredo sauce

Vegetable I won’t eat: I like all vegetables especially if they are fried or have butter on them.

Pepsi or Coke? Root beer

Favorite TV show: Anything on the Food Network

Favorite musical group: Depends on the day. Most rock/alternative/metal.

Favorite movie: "The Great Race"

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Alissa Goetz

If my life were on TV as a reality show, I’d call it: "The Life of Lauren"

The person in history I would most like to meet is: Marilyn Manson

My dream job would be: Getting paid to go to concerts

Place I’d most like to live: Scotland

Two things that are tops on my “bucket list”: Go to Italy, see Godsmack in concert.

My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: My cat

What I miss most about being in the third grade: Living in Massachusetts
