Emma Clark, who graduated in May 2013, was the "Most Valuable Player" for the 2013 Illinois Wesleyan softball team. She was earlier named to the second team of the National Division III All-America team, the all-Great Lakes Region team and was first team all-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. She was also an Academic All-District 7 honoree and was on the ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
A product of Morton, Ill., High School who attended Division I Illinois State her first year of college, Clark finished the 2013 season with a .394 average and led the team with 43 runs batted in, 27 walks and an .807 slugging percentage, a single-season school record. She also set a school mark with 12 home runs this season and is the career leader at IWU in homers (32) and slugging percentage (.708). Clark is fifth all-time at Wesleyan in both on-base percentage (.448) and runs batted in (111).
A business (marketing) major at Illinois Wesleyan, Emma is the daughter of Scott and Lori Clark.


Why you chose Illinois Wesleyan: I wanted to play softball as well as get a great eduation.

IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: Hah! - probably a coaching class on softball

Favorite sports figure: Jessica Mendoza, I always wanted to be like her when I was younger

My greatest moment in sports was: When we beat Texas-Tyler this spring and were ranked number 3 in the nation

The best player I ever faced was: While at Wesleyan, Krystina Leazer (of Carthage)

Worst dresser on my team: Probably me, I love my tshirts and sweats

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: A head of lettuce I bought months ago and keep forgetting to get rid of…

Person I’m dying to have dinner with: Ryan Gosling

Favorite food: Pizza

Vegetable I won’t eat: Peas

Pepsi or Coke?: Pepsi

Favorite TV show: Oh man there are so many! "Grey’s Anatomy" is probably my favorite though

Favorite musical group: Blink-182

Favorite movie: "Hunger Games", I watch it all the time

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Amanda Bynes, before the whole drug thing of course

If my life were on TV as a reality show, I’d call it: “The Sweet Life of Emma Clark”

The person in history I would most like to meet is: Abraham Lincoln

My dream job would be: Marketing for the St. Louis Cardinals
