A two-year letterman, Illinois Wesleyan senior Kevin Reed was named to all-tournament team at 29th Annual Lopata Classic earlier this season. As a junior he played and started all 31 games for the team that advanced to the national semifinals. He led IWU in scoring five times and in rebounding 14 times and had his season-high of six assists in NCAA game against Cabrini.
He started two games as a sophomore.
Reed, who played high school basketball at Prospect High for former Titan John Camardella, is a business administration major at Illinois Wesleyan and is the son of Bill and Patti Reed of Arlington Heights, Ill.

Why you chose Illinois Wesleyan: I wanted to make my parents pay as much money as possible.

IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: I tried to teach myself STATS and I ended up having to take it again so definitely not that.

The hardest challenge about being a Division III student-athlete is: Getting kicked out of the back gym for 5 people that want to practice karate.

Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? I’ve gotten a lot of those I can’t even pick a specific class for this.

I’m deathly afraid of ... : Women… and spiders

Most expensive traffic ticket: No idea

The longest I could survive without my cell phone: Long time.

Favorite sports figure: Detlef Schrempf

My greatest moment in sports was: I hit the side of the backboard on a shot against Washington U. last year.  It wasn’t very cool for me but everyone else seemed to enjoy it.

The best player I ever faced was: Jereme Richmond … He went to prison though so I’m not too jealous.

Worst dresser on my team: Mike Marietti wore some pretty ridiculous rubber boots a week ago so I’m going to go with him.

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: Lots of things…It’s pretty gross in there.

Favorite food: Cheese

Vegetable I won’t eat: All

Favorite TV show: "Arrested Development"

Favorite movie: "Lord of the Rings"

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Ryan Gosling… Not because I look like him because that is ridiculous.  I just like Ryan Gosling… He’s a cool dude.

If my life were on TV as a reality show, I’d call it: “You’re Not Gonna Want to Watch This Show”

The person in history I would most like to meet is: Johnny Appleseed… Where did he get all those seeds?

My dream job would be: If there was like an exhibit where people paid to see me and it was called, “Watch how long this kid can do absolutely nothing”, I’d be real good at that.

Place I’d most like to live: Mountains

My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: Computer

What I miss most about being in the third grade: Kickball
