Heading into "Seniors' Night" on Oct. 13, senior Amy VanDerVoorn (East Peoria, Ill., Morton HS) was No. 7 in a Titan uniform in career block assists, No. 8 in total blocks, No. 13 in solo blocks and No. 15 in kills.
A 2009 co-captain, Amy is majoring in mathematics/secondary education at Illinois Wesleyan. She is the daughter of John and Lauri VanDerVoorn.

Language I’d like to learn: Fluency in Spanish/Dutch

IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: SCUBA diving!

I’m deathly afraid of...: Not much that I can think of…

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: Just cleaned out the fridge of all the moldy food, so probably eggs

Worst habit: Interrupting conversations at awkward moments

Three of my close friends who moved away to Florida, Alabama, and Mexico

Favorite sports figure(s): Michael Jordan

My greatest moment in sports was: My first facial (hitting a girl on the other team in the face with the ball)

The best player I ever faced was: Don’t remember her name, but a really tall middle from Washington U. my freshman year.

Worst dresser on my team: Gaby Johnson — She’s not worst, just the one who doesn’t like wearing clothes

My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: My Ford Escape

What I miss most about being in the third grade:
