Nina Deer joined the Illinois Wesleyan coaching staff in the 2022-23 school year.
A Highland Park, Ill. native, Deer was a four-year starter for Cornell College and captain during the 2021-22 season. Deer earned Second Team All-Midwest Conference honors her senior season after leading the Rams with 32 goals and 20 assists. She is the career record holder for points per game and assists, and third all-time in goals. Deer also holds the single game records for points, assists, and goals in a game.
Deer majored in kinesiology with an exercise science concentration and a minor in psychology. She is currently pursuing a masters degree in psychology of sports and physical activity at Illinois State University.
