Mike Wiggins began his coaching career at Illinois Wesleyan in the 2012 season as a kicking, punting, and deep snaps coach.
Wiggins, who attended Macomb High School, attended Western Illinois and was on the football team as a punter. After two years in Macomb, Ill., he transfered to Iowa Wesleyan College, where he was a three-year varsity football and baseball player. While at IWC, Wiggins was a two-time first team NAIA All-American, and was second team Little All-American Punter. Wiggins was inducted into the Iowa Wesleyan Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011.
Wiggins played 18 seasons of semi-pro football as both a kicker and punter in Springfield, Decatur, and Bloomington. He has also coached numerous high school and junior league punters and kickers since 1986.
Wiggins has been married to his wife, Lisa, for 23 years. They have two sons, Dayne (12) and Darek (9).
