BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team will travel to Crawfordsville, Ind. on Saturday, Sept. 5 to face off against Wabash College at 4 p.m. ET.
The Titans opened the season with a 0-0 draw against Illinois College on Tuesday, Sept. 1 in Jacksonville, Ill. Senior transfer Owen Boukalik (Northville, Mich. – Northville) earned his first career shutout as a Titan. Junior Ben Lyons (Orland Park, Ill. – Carl Sandburg) and sophomore Will Smucker (Park Ridge, Ill. – Maine South) posted three shots, respectively. Sophomore Hunter Reinberg (Washington, Mo. – St. Francis Borgia) had two shots on target in Tuesday night's contest.
Wabash leads the all-time series 3-1-3 over the Titans. The Green and White have gone four-straight years unbeaten against the Little Giants. IWU went three years in a tie against Wabash before securing their first program win against them last season. The Little Giants finished their 2025 season with an overall record 6-11-1 and a 2-5-1 North Coast Athletic Conference record. Wabash was predicted to finish seventh in the NCAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
