BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team is set to face Knox College Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. and Illinois College on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. at Neis Field. 

The Titans are one of two College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin teams that remain unbeaten going into Tuesday night's contest. IWU saw massive senior day success with seniors Ava Mapes (Golden, Colo. – Lakewood) posting her first career hat trick and Sophie Lampert (Hudson, Ill. – Normal West) adding a brace to her resume. The Green and White came out with a 6-1 win on Saturday, Sept. 12 against Westminster. Freshman Peyton McMahon (Lakewood, Ill. – Crystal Lake Central) added her second goal of the season. 

Mapes is the current CCIW leader in goals (5) and ranks 36th in the nation in goals per game (1.0). Junior Ellen Dahlquist (Peoria, Ill. – Peoria Notre Dame) leads the conference in assists (4) and ranks 29th in the nation in assists per game (0.80). The Titans sit first in the conference in points (12), assists (11) and saves (27). The Titans sit second in the conference going into this week's contests. 

The Titans face a familiar foe Tuesday against Knox for Invite a Professor Night. IWU holds a 6-1 all-time series and a 2-0 home lead over the Prairie Fire. The Titans have only allowed two goals against Knox in its last six contests with IWU outscoring the Prairie Fire 32-2. Knox finished its 2025 season 4-10-3 overall and 1-5-2 Midwest Conference record. The Prairie Fire come in with a 2-3 record this season, dropping their first three contests before posting wins against Aurora University and Coe College. 

On Wednesday, the Titans face Illinois College to round out their midweek contests. The Green and White hold a 9-1 head-to-head record and a 4-0 home record over the Lady Blues. Illinois College finished its 2025 season 10-8-2 overall and 6-2 in the Midwest Conference. Illinois College started its 2026 campaign 2-3 with wins over Nebraska Wesleyan University and Blackburn College.
