BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team remains unbeaten as it heads into Saturday's Sept. 12 contest against Westminster College at Neis Field with kick off slated for 1 p.m.. The Titans will celebrate their four seniors before the match recognizing the careers of: Sophie Lampert (Hudson, Ill. – Normal Community), Ava Mapes (Golden, Colo.–Lakewood), Adriana Ruffolo (Bloomingdale, Ill. – Glenbard North), and Alexis Shackelford (Orland Park, Ill. – Marist).

The Titans came out of River Forest, Ill. Wednesday, Sept. 9 with a 1-1 draw against Dominican University with a late goal by Mapes. DU scored in the 53rd minute, but IWU didn't give up in the remaining minutes. A pass by Sophia Yaklich (Bloomington, Ill. – Central Catholic) to Mapes helped secure the draw with three minutes to go in the contest. It's the program's best unbeaten start for the Green and White since 2015. The Titans are now 1-0-3 to start the 2026 season.

Mapes and Lampert lead the team in goals with two, respectively. Junior Ellen Dahlquist (Peoria, Ill. – Peoria Notre Dame) leads the team with two assists and four Titans sit with one assist each.

IWU is set to face off against Westminster where the Titans hold the all-time series at 2-0. The teams first met in 2015 where the Titans came out with a 7-0 win at Neis Field. Last season, IWU traveled to Fulton, Mo. and came out with a 4-1 win over the Blue Jays. Westminster finished last season 8-7-2 overall and a 5-2-1 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference record. This season, the Blue Jays dropped their first two contests to sit at 0-2. Westminster has yet to score this season.

The Titans will face off at 1 p.m. with the IWU men's soccer game preceding at 3:30 p.m. Live coverage of the event can be accessed here.
