NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Junior Nora Cerroni (Waukesha, Wis.-Waukesha North) of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team earned College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Golfer of the Week honors for the first time in her career, announced by the league office Wednesday, April 8.

Ceronni's selection is the fifth weekly award for the Green and White this season and the fourth straight.

Cerroni recorded a career-best 36-hole total and single round at the WashU Spring Invite Sunday-Monday, March 29-30. In the opening round, Cerroni utilized a four-under 32 on the back nine to break 70 for the first time in her career with a three-under 69. The Waukesha, Wis. native is just the fifth Titan in program history to break 70. The junior led the Titans to a runner-up finish, as her second round of six-over 78 helped her to a runner-up finish of her own, which marks the best finish of her career.

Cerroni and the Titans will play host to the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling Saturday-Sunday, April 11-12 at Ironwood Golf Course.
