BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team fell to College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe, Wheaton College 4-3, Saturday, April 25, at Evergreen Racquet Club. IWU concludes the season with a record of 9-10 (1-6 CCIW), while Wheaton moves on to next week's CCIW tournament at 7-9 (4-3 CCIW).

The Titans won the doubles point with wins at the top two spots. Seniors Ian Turnbull (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington) and Ben Vigneri (Casper, Wyo.- Phillips Exeter) took down Andrew Jang and Andrew Winters 6-4. At No. 2 doubles, junior Thad Dillow (Effingham, Ill.-Effingham) and freshman Will Ehrlich (Springfield, Ill.-Glenwood) defeated David Hill and Toby Schmidt, 6-3.

In singles play, Vigneri concluded his IWU career with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Corin Tang at No. 1 singles. Dillow also wrapped up his college tennis slate with a win, defeating Winters at three singles 6-2, 6-2.  

This marks the conclusion of the careers of seniors Vigneri, Turnbull, Griffin Hammond (Metamora, Ill.-Metamora), and Sebastian Rasquin (Park Ridge, Ill.-Maine South) along with Dillow who is graduating early.
