CHICAGO - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team fell, 23-4, at No. 20 University of Chicago Wednesday night, March 25. With the defeat, IWU drops to 3-7 on the season, while UC ups its record to 6-4.

The sophomore trio of Sophie Shore (St. Peters, Mo.-Francis Howell Central), Maddie Gibson (Fenton, Mo.-Rockwood Summit), and Lillie Keeton (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington), along with senior Sadie Newton (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community), each scored a goal for the Titans. Keeton notched the lone assist for the Green and White.

Shore led the team with six ground balls, establishing a new career-high. Newton finished second on the team with two, while leading the team at the draw with five draw controls. Senior Sarah Riepe (Aurora, Ill.-St. Francis) added a pair of draw controls.

In goal for the Green and White, sophomore Marli Brown (Kansas City, Mo.-Notre Dame de Sion) logged all 60 minutes in between the pipes. The sophomore made nine saves in the loss.
