LEXINGTON, Ky. - For the first time in program history, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's volleyball team was featured in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Poll, announced by the organization Tuesday, March 17. Behind an overall record of 17-4, IWU checked in at No. 20 on the latest poll for its inaugural appearance.

Illinois Wesleyan picked up a reverse sweep over Augustana College Wednesday, March 11, in its only game over the past week. The victory improved the Titans' College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin record to 5-1, keeping them in second place through the halfway point. IWU is eyeing its first trip to the four-team CCIW Tournament this season.

The Green and White is one of three CCIW teams featured in the national poll. Carthage College, the current CCIW race leader, checks in at No. 1, while Loras College comes in at No. 14. IWU holds a record of 2-2 against teams ranked in the weekly list, as the Titans hold wins over No. 14 Loras and No. 18 MSOE, and losses to No. 1 Carthage and ninth-ranked Aurora.

The Titans return to the court Friday afternoon, March 20, as they take on St. Norbert College. Action is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. inside Shirk Center.
