Flag Football Travels to Tennessee for Tuesday Twin Bill

IWU aims to remain perfect in 2026

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- The Illinois Wesleyan University flag football team heads to Lebanon, Tenn. for two games, Tuesday, March 17 as part of Spring Break. IWU (3-0) takes on Cumberland University at 11:30 a.m. and Milligan University at 1:30 p.m.

IWU is coming off of a 27-0 win over North Park University, Friday, March 13, that boosted its record to 3-0 in the inaugural season.

Freshman Emma Caniglia (Addison, Ill.-Addison) threw for 173 yards and four touchdowns in the win. She also rushed for 52 yards on seven attempts. Freshman Lily Greenfield (Lindenhurst, Ill.-Lakes Community) hauled in three receptions for 60 yards, with two touchdowns. Defensively, freshman Nakilah Mason (Chicago, Ill.-Chicago Military Academy) had four sacks on the day.

Cumberland sits at 3-5 on the year. They most recently fell to Reinhardt University, 32-19, March 14. Milligan is a perfect 10-0 after being ranked ninth in the inaugural NAIA preseason poll. The closest margin of victory for the Buffs was a 26-14 win over Ferrum, March 4.
