Men’s Tennis Hosts Second Twin-Bill of 2026

Titans battle Olivet Nazarene at 10:15 a.m, Greenville at 4:30 p.m.

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team hosts Greenville University and Olivet Nazarene University in its second home twin-bill of the season. The Titans (5-0) take on ONU (0-3) at 10:15 a.m. and Greenville (2-4) at 4:30 p.m as IWU tries to earn its first 7-0 start since 1998. That season, the team opened with nine straight triumphs.

IWU most recently swept their doubleheader in Galesburg, Ill. against Monmouth College and Principia College, winning both matches 6-1. The Green and White swept both doubles slates and only dropped two total singles matches. Junior Thad Dillow (Effingham, Ill.-Effingham), senior Griffin Hammond (Metamora, Ill.-Metamora), and freshmen Will Ehrlich (Springfield, Ill.-Glenwood) and Truman Raher (Peoria, Ill.-Richwoods) claimed two singles wins.

Greenville enters the weekend at 2-4, most recently defeating Wartburg College, 7-0, Saturday, Feb. 21. IWU last defeated the Panthers 7-2, Feb. 13, 2021 behind a sweep in the doubles session and singles wins from Demitrios Triantafel, Carter Burk, Ryan McCoy, and Evan Turnbull.

Olivet Nazarene enters at 0-3, most recently falling to Indiana Wesleyan, 4-1, Feb. 21. In the only prior meeting, Sept. 28, 2019, the Titans took down the Tigers 7-2. After IWU won all of the doubles matches, Burk, Dylan Mikaili, Justin Piotrowski, and Michael Behrensmeyer racked up singles victories.
