NEW ORLEANS - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's cross country teams were named United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Teams while senior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) was lauded as an All-Academic Athlete. The organization announced its selections Thursday, Jan. 29.

All-Academic teams must hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.1 on a 4.0 scale. Both IWU programs, led by head coach Greg Huffaker, were recognized as All-Academic, with the men's squad posting a cumulative 3.43 GPA and the women's team holding a 3.5.

In order to qualify for individual All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship.

Crabtree, a Biology and Environmental Studies major, wrapped up her career as a Titan in record-breaking fashion, running to a 17th-place finish at the 2025 NCAA Division III National Championships. Crabtree's First Team All-American placement was the highest in IWU cross country history. A College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin crown was a highlight of Crabtree's season as well, matching a 22-year-old meet record time and setting a new program record. Crabtree's USTFCCCA All-Academic nod marks the fourth of her illustrious career.

The Titan men's and women's cross country teams look ahead to the 2026 season.
