ELMHURST, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's wrestling team concluded action at the College Conference of Illinois and WIsconsin Duals. The Titans (2-7, 1-7 CCIW) fell to Carthage College, 35-12 and dropped their dual against Elmhurst University, 33-12.

Against Carthage (3-7, 3-5 CCIW), freshman Tyson Zvonar (Frankfort, Ill.-Lincoln-Way East) only needed two minutes to earn his fourth pin of the year, this time over Lucas Burgio at 133 pounds. 141-pound junior Austin Johnston (Normal, Ill.-Normal West) followed with a pin of his own over Evan Glowinski, his fifth of the 2025-26 campaign. The Firebirds won the remaining matches to claim the dual 35-12.

IWU's second dual of the day against Elmhurst (5-2, 5-2 CCIW) began with freshman Brady Mouser (Bloomington, Ill.-Tri-Valley) collecting a 13-7 decision over Juan Villa. At 141 pounds, Johnston booked his second pin of the day, needing only 2:25 against Ulises Rosas. Freshman Trey Dunning (Mishawaka, Ind.-Mishawaka) defeated Colin O'Neill via a 5-4 decision at 197 pounds.

The Titans are back in action Friday, Jan. 30 when they host Simpson College. Action from Shirk Center is scheduled for 7 p.m.
