Crabtree Named CCIW Runner of the Week

Second weekly award of her career

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - For the second time in her career and first of the 2025 season, senior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's cross country team was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Cross Country Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday, Sept. 3.

In Friday's Titan Opener on Aug. 29th, Crabtree claimed medalist honors with a two-mile time of 12:21.3 marking the second win of her career. The 2023 CCIW Champion paced the Green and White women's team that saw nine Titans claim spots in the top-10.

Crabtree's time was the best two-mile time of her career, beating her previous personal best by seven seconds.

Crabtree and the Titans travel across town for their next event, as the Green and White will participate in the Division I Redbird Invitational held at Weibring Golf Course in Normal, Ill. on Friday, Sept. 12. The start time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
