KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis completed the second day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional, hosted by Kalamazoo College, Saturday, Sept. 27.

In doubles, seniors Ian Turnbull (Bloomington, Ill. - Bloomington) and Griffin Hammond (Metamora, Ill.- Metamora) edged Jacob and Josh Doyle of Albion College, 8-7 (3) in the consolation round of 16 before defeating Ernesto Botero Diaz and Jesus Soto Bossa of Principia College, 8-2 in the consolation quarterfinals. In a match originally scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 28, the Titan tandem earned a spot in the consolation finals over Phillip Wottgen and Rafael Lessa due to a walkover. They await the winner of ninth seeded Jacob Patterson and Aryan Ganapathy Kallambella from Denison University and Illinois Institute of Technology's Alexander Feher and Tanay Sharma. First serve of the finals is scheduled for tomorrow at 9 a.m.

In singles play, Turnbull fell in his consolation round of 32 match against Joao Henrique Nassar from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, 8-4 which concluded the individual portion of his tournament.

Junior Thad Dillow (Effingham, Ill. - Effingham) defeated Alma College's Jake Lasceki 8-4 in the consolation round of 32. His tournament concluded with an 8-2 loss to Anthony VanOyen of the College of Wooster in the consolation round of 16.
