Crabtree Earns Third CCIW Weekly Honor

Senior won third event of the season

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University women's cross country senior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) earned her third College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Runner of the Week honor of the season, the first time a Titan has accomplished the feat, the league office announced on Tuesday, Sept. 23. It is the fourth weekly accolade of her career.

Crabtree maintained her undefeated status this season, picking up her third win in as many events Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Spartanburg Pre-National Meet in Spartanburg, S.C. The Normal, Ill. native claimed her fourth career victory at the site of the 2025 Division III Cross Country National Championship with a time of 21:47.6. Crabtree was strong down the final stretch of the 6k race, pulling away from runner-up Riley Capuano of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, a top-20 finisher at the last year's national championship, and ultimately winning by nine seconds.

After enjoying the weekend off, Crabtree and the cross country teams travel to Waverly, Iowa, for the Dan Hutson Invite Saturday, Oct. 4. The invite will be hosted at Max Cross Country Course, the site of the NCAA Midwest Regional Championship later this season.
