Women’s Soccer Returns Home to Take on Dominican

Match time set for 7 p.m.

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team returns home for an evening matchup with Dominican University Monday, Sept. 22. Match time is set for 7 p.m. at Neis Field. 

The Titans (4-3-0) are coming off of a 4-1 loss to Trine Saturday, Sept. 20. Sophomore Liza Wiley (Bloomington, Ind.-Home School) scored Illinois Wesleyan's lone goal of the game, upping her goal total this season to four which leads the team. Wiley also leads the team in assists with five. Dominican (2-3-1) is most recently coming off of a, 3-1, win against Marian Saturday, Sept. 20. The Stars first win came against College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin opponent North Park on Sept. 3, 2-1.

The Stars and Titans have met just three times in program history, as Illinois Wesleyan leads the series 2-0-1. Last season, Dominican and IWU ended in a 3-3 draw at Neis Field. Wiley, now-senior Bree Cordray (Bloomington, Ill.-University High), and now-sophomore Taylor Haun (Metamora, Ill.-Metamora Township) scored goals in the contest.
