Crabtree Earns Back-to-Back CCIW Runner of the Week Honors

Third weekly award of her career

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University women's cross country senior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Runner of the Week, as announced by the league office Tuesday, Sept. 16. It is the third weekly award of Crabtree's career and second of the season.

Crabtree was also named the USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week Monday, Sept. 15 after her school record-breaking performance at the Redbird Invite, hosted by Illinois State University, Friday, Sept. 12. Crabtree won the invite with a time of 12:32.3, defeating ISU's Nora Brady, who was named the Missouri Valley Conference's Runner of the Week Monday, Sept. 15, by over 10 seconds. A school record that stood for 10 years, Crabtree bested Erin McCarey's time, set at the 2015 NCAA Regional, by three seconds.

Crabtree and the Titans head across the country to Spartansburg, S.C. for the Spartanburg Pre-National Meet, hosted by Converse, this Saturday, Sept. 20.
