NEW ORLEANS - Illinois Wesleyan University women's cross country senior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division III Athlete of the Week, announced on Monday, Sept. 15, becoming the first Titan in school history to earn the national cross country honor.

Crabtree won the Redbird Invite on Friday, Sept. 12, hosted by Illinois State University, with a time of 12:32.3 in the 6k race. She bested the runner-up finisher, ISU's Nora Brady, by ten seconds, and defeated the nearest Division III competitor by over a minute. Her time marked a new school record, previously set by Erin McCarey in 2015.

Crabtree and the Titans head to Spartansburg, S.C. for their next meet, the Spartanburg Pre-National Meet, hosted by Converse, on Saturday, Sept. 20.
