Four Women’s Golfers Grab CSC Academic All-District Nods

Ludwig advances to Academic All-America ballot

GREENWOOD, Ind. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team highlighted the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams announced Tuesday, June 17, as four Titans were recognized. Seniors Macy Ludwig (Effingham, Ill.-St. Anthony), Jacque O'Neill (Harbor Springs, Mich.-Harbor Springs), and Jadyn Spinks (Bloomington, Ill.-University High) along with sophomore Nora Cerroni (Waukesha, Wis.-Waukesha North) received the honor.

Ludwig, the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Women's Golfer of the Year, posted a 74.5 stroke average over 12 events. She won the CCIW Championship and placed inside the top-10 a total of six times. The Effingham, Ill. native set the program's 54-hole scoring record with her even-par finish at the NCAA Division I Redbird Invitational, later tying the mark, as she took fifth in the tournament. A three-time CCIW Women's Golfer of the Week selection, Ludwig was named All-Region by the Women's Golf Coaches Association and finished the year ranked 45th nationally by Clippd.

O'Neill competed in 12 events, notching an average of 77.3 strokes per round over a total of 28 rounds. IWU's top finisher at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship, O'Neill placed 38th in the final tournament of the year. She tallied five top-10 finishes, including taking ninth at the CCIW Championship to earn all-conference honors. O'Neill secured CCIW Women's Golfer of the Week status twice throughout the season and grabbed runner up at the WashU Spring Invite and the Cardinal Classic.

Earning the honor for the second straight year, Spinks posted a scoring average of 77.3 strokes per round over 11 events. She totaled six top-10 finishes, including tying for second alongside O'Neill at the WashU Spring Invite. Her fourth-place finish at the conference championship earned her All-CCIW status for the fourth straight season.

In her first year donning the Green and White, Cerroni reels in Academic All-District distinction for the first time in her career. She turned in a scoring average of 77.4 strokes per round over 26 rounds and placed in the top-20 five times. Cerroni was an All-CCIW performer, taking sixth at the league championship.

The CSC Academic All-America At-Large teams will be unveiled Tuesday, July 8.
