NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University head women's golf coach Craig Onsrud and senior Macy Ludwig (Effingham, Ill.-St. Anthony) were recognized Thursday afternoon, May 8, as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin unveiled its postseason awards. Onsrud was voted the CCIW Co-Coach of the Year, while Ludwig hauled in CCIW Women's Golfer of the Year status.

Onsrud, in his first year guiding the Titans, led the Green and White to the CCIW Championship as five student-athletes reeled in all-conference honors. IWU earned the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship later this month. Illinois Wesleyan has won two tournaments this season and have been ranked top-20 in national rankings consistently throughout the year. Onsrud shares the CCIW honor with Elmhurst head coach.

Ludwig put together a sensational senior season and one of the best in Titan women's golf history. The senior won the CCIW individual title with a three-day score of 216, carding rounds of 71, 72, and 73 to earn the victory. Ludwig collected six top-10 finishes on the year, including four top-five placements. The Effingham, Ill. native hauled in a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Division I Redbird Invitational hosted by Illinois State University behind a program-record 216 total. She tied the record at the CCIW Championship. She fired an impressive 66, besting her own program single-round record.

Illinois Wesleyan will compete at the NCAA Division III National Championship in Williamsburg, Va. next week, May 13-16, at Kingsmill Resort.
