INDIANAPOLIS - One day removed from winning its seventh College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament Championship and the league's automatic bid, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team learned its NCAA Division III Tournament postseason path as part of the NCAA selection show Sunday night, May 4. The Titans will open the NCAA Tournament against SUNY Cortland as IWU travels to York College (Pa.) for a 3 p.m. ET start Saturday, May 10. A full interactive bracket can be found here.

Illinois Wesleyan is in the 40-team field as one of 27 automatic qualifiers. The Green and White's record stands at 14-2 ahead of the national tournament. Illinois Wesleyan punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament with a 16-13 win over second-seeded Elmhurst inside Tucci Stadium, May 3, to claim its third straight CCIW Tournament title.

IWU is no stranger to the postseason, having qualified for the national tournament in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, and this season. The Titans hold a 5-6 record in the tournament.

Cortland punched its ticket to the postseason with a 19-9 win over SUNY Oneonta in the SUNYAC Championship, May 3. The Red Dragons boast a 17-2 overall record and will meet the Titans for just the second time ever. IWU trails the all-time tally, 1-0, as Cortland took the initial meeting 12-9 in Colorado Springs, Colo. March 13, 2024.

The winner of Saturday's contest will advance to the third round to face the winner of host York's game against the winner of Wednesday's opening round bout between Farmingdale St. and Trinity (Conn.). The third round game is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, May 11.

The 2025 NCAA DIII men's lacrosse tournament runs from May 7 through the title game on May 25 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. A full bracket for the 40-team tournament can be found here.
