WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Playing through less than ideal weather conditions and a significant delay after just two holes, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team came four holes shy of concluding a full round of play at the NCAA Division III National Championship at Kingsmill Resort Tuesday, May 13.

Play was suspended due to darkness after a nearly five-hour-long weather delay earlier in the round and is set to resume tomorrow, May 14. In an effort to complete 36 holes by the end of the day tomorrow, teams will return to the course beginning at 8 a.m. with the cut set to take place at the conclusion of two full rounds.

Sophomore Nora Cerroni (Waukesha, Wis.-Waukesha North) and freshman Gigi Zera (Glenview, Ill.-Loyola Academy) carded complete rounds in their first taste of NCAA Championship action. Cerroni went 12-over on the day, while Zera shot a seven-over 79 as the duo weathered an eventful day on the course.
