5/12/2025 12:00:00 PM

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team will close out the season at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf National Championship this week in Williamsburg, Va. IWU will kickoff competition in the 72-hole event Tuesday, May 13, beginning at 9:50 a.m.

Competing for the Green and White will be the senior trio of Macy Ludwig (Effingham, Ill.-St. Anthony), Jadyn Spinks (Bloomington, Ill.-University High), and Jacque O'Neill (Harbor Springs, Mich.-Harbor Springs) as well as sophomore Nora Cerroni (Waukesha, Wis.-Waukesha North) and freshman Gigi Zera (Glenview, Ill.-Loyola Academy). Ceronni and Zera will make their national tournament debut, while Ludwig, Spinks, and O'Neill will play in the third straight national championship event.

A total of 34 teams will compete for the NCAA Division III National Championship, with IWU serving as the lone College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin representative. The Titans earned their way into the national championship field by way of a CCIW Championship back in October, where the Green and White broke its own record for largest margin of victory. Ludwig took home medalist honors and was later named the CCIW Women's Golfer of the Year, while six total Titans were named All-CCIW.

Illinois Wesleyan's national championship pursuit begins Tuesday, May 13, at 9:50 a.m. The Titans will play alongside Rhodes College and Middlebury College, with Cerroni the first Titan off the tees at Kingsmill Resort. The field will be cut down to 15 teams following day two action Wednesday, May 14, with the championship set to wrap up Friday, May 16. Live scoring will be provided through the Scoreboard powered by Clippd.
