NAPERVILLE, Ill. – A seventh straight unbeaten season in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action has resulted in nine all-conference selections for the Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team, the league office announced Tuesday, April 29. IWU had the most honorees of any team in the conference, with six Titans being named to the first team and three to the second team, while head coach Zach Iannucci was voted the CCIW Coach of the Year.

Iannucci earns his fourth Coach of the Year honor after guiding IWU to another undefeated CCIW season, becoming the only coach in conference history to earn the award four times.

Fifth-year Gage Black (Peoria, Ill.-Dunlap) and seniors Colin Tervo (West Linn, Ore.-West Linn) and Sam Skelton (Portland, Ore.-Franklin) are repeat first team honorees, while juniors Billy McHugh (Orland Park, Ill.-Mount Carmel) and Karsten Nordlie (Roscoe, Ill.-Hononegah Community) and sophomore Timothy McHugh (Orland Park, Ill.-Mount Carmel) also landed first team honors. Fifth-year Bob Boone (Los Angeles, Calif.-Notre Dame) and senior Sam Weinberg (Highwood, Ill.-Oak Park River Forest) are repeat second team honorees while fifth-year Ike Eastburn (Colorado Springs, Colo.-Cheyenne Mountain) earns his first All-CCIW selection on the second team. Senior John Kittoe (Waunakee, Wis.-Waunakee) was named IWU's CCIW RESPECT award recipient.

Black became a four-time All-CCIW selection after being named to the second team in 2022 and landing on the first team the last three seasons. The fifth-year captain played in all four conference games this season at midfield, recording eight points on six goals and two assists.

Tervo earns his second straight All-CCIW First Team honor as IWU's starting goalie and captain with a 4-0 CCIW record between the pipes. Totaling 41 saves in conference action, Tervo's 10.25 saves per game ranks fourth in the conference while holding a .577 saves percentage. Tervo was the first of six Titans to be named a CCIW Player of the Week recipient, as he earned the defensive award, Feb. 25 for his 19 saves against Aurora, Feb. 22.

Skelton picked up his second first team all-conference nod after recording six caused turnovers and 11 ground balls in conference play as well as one goal scored against North Central, April 9. The senior captain's 1.50 caused turnovers per game ranks fifth-best in the CCIW.

B. McHugh stepped in to play a major role on defense in his first year as a Titan. The junior transfer played in all four conference games, recorded seven ground balls, four caused turnovers, and four points on two goals and a pair of assists.

Nordlie played in all four CCIW games and accrued 14 ground balls, four caused turnovers, and had one assist on his way to his first all-conference accolade. The junior's 3.50 ground balls per game ranks eighth in the league.

T. McHugh nets his first All-CCIW honor as the sophomore played in all four conference games. T. McHugh recorded a team-high 17 points in conference action on four goals and 14 assists while also totaling six scoops and forcing two opponent miscues. IWU's key distributor, T. McHugh's 3.25 assists per game ranks second in the conference while his 4.25 points per game sit fourth. The sophomore was awarded back-to-back CCIW Offensive Player of the Week awards earlier this season (March 25 & April 1).

Boone collects his second conference award after taking last season off due to injury. The fifth-year was a second team honoree back in 2023 and earns the mark again after appearing in all four league games. Boone recorded 14 points on eight goals and six assists with two game-winners and two man-down goals. He also totaled five ground balls. Boone's 3.50 points per game and 1.50 assists per game both ranked eighth in the league. Boone earned his first CCIW Offensive Player of the Week award (April 22) after leading the Titans to a 12-11 comeback win over Elmhurst, April 19, with the game winner and a team-lead five points.

Weinberg earned his second All-CCIW Second Team honor after recording the second-highest point total in CCIW play for IWU, tallying 16 points on nine goals and seven assists across four conference games. The senior also showcased his all-around impact with five ground balls and four caused turnovers. In conference rankings, Weinberg sits fifth in points per game (4.00), sixth in assists per game (1.75), and tied for eighth in goals per game (2.25).

Eastburn claimed his first conference accolade as the fifth-year was named to the All-CCIW Second Team. Eastburn topped the league with his 15 goals in CCIW play and is the conference leader in goals per game with 3.75. The fifth-year captain tied for sixth in the league with his 3.75 points per game and owns an impressive .652 shot percentage. Eastburn recorded one game-winner and two man-up goals while also tacking on two ground balls and a caused turnover against CCIW opponents.

Illinois Wesleyan earned the No. 1 seed in the CCIW Tournament and will host fourth-seeded North Central College Wednesday, April 30 for a semifinal game. Game time inside Tucci Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m.
