Men’s Tennis Heads to North Central

Titans eye final road trip of regular season

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team will embark on its last regular season road trip, as the Titans head to North Central College for a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin contest Saturday morning, April 19. Action is set to begin at 10 a.m. at Naperville Tennis Club.

IWU enters the match with an overall record of 5-11, and is 1-4 in CCIW play. The Titans most recently fell 6-1 to Millikin University Wednesday, April 16. Junior Ian Turnbull (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington) secured the lone point for the Green and White, as he took his No. 1 singles match with scores of 6-2, 6-3. 

With the series dating back to 1990, IWU holds a 24-15 edge over the Cardinals (9-6, 4-1 CCIW), but eyes its first win over NCC since 2015. The Green and White fell in the most recent contest, 9-0, April 12, 2024. North Central comes into the matchup off a 7-0 win over Elmhurst University Wednesday, April 16.
