McHugh Claims Second Straight CCIW Weekly Award

Named CCIW Offensive Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – For the second week in a row, Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse sophomore Timothy McHugh (Orland Park, Ill.-Mount Carmel) was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Offensive Player of the Week. The league office announced its selections Tuesday afternoon, April 1.

This marks the third time the CCIW has appointed a Titan the conference's player of the week as McHugh picks up his second honor in his career and Colin Tervo collected defensive honors, Feb. 25.

McHugh led IWU to a 23-18 victory over Adrian College, Saturday, March 29, as the sophomore totaled eight points on an even four goals and four assists, just one shy of his career-highs in all three categories. McHugh also recorded a caused turnover in the contest, as well as four ground balls.

Illinois Wesleyan takes the week off from competition before hosting North Central College, Wednesday, April 9, for the Titans' CCIW opener.
