NAPERVILLE, Ill. – A career day for Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse sophomore Timothy McHugh (Orland Park, Ill.-Mount Carmel) helped the Titans to a comeback win over the weekend and earned the first-ever weekly award for McHugh as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin named him the league's Offensive Player of the Week Tuesday, March 25.

It marks the first weekly honor in the sophomore's career and is the first offensive nod for IWU this season. Additionally, it is the second CCIW weekly award for the Titans this season as Colin Tervo was selected as the defensive recipient Feb. 25.

McHugh led the Green and White in an 18-15 comeback win over Calvin University, March 22, with a career-high nine points on five goals – also a career-high – and four assists, while also totaling three ground balls. McHugh's efforts were crucial to bridge the five-goal deficit the Titans faced on Saturday.

After three straight road games, Illinois Wesleyan returns to Tucci Stadium Saturday, March 29 to host Adrian College at 2 p.m.
