PALM DESERT, Calif. - In a seven-team field that includes two top-20 ranked Division II teams, the 18th-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team sits tied for fifth after 36 holes at the Augustana (SD) Spring Fling Invite at Desert Willow Golf Resort. Over the two days, the Titans carded a second round of 324 and totaled 656. 

Senior Jacque O'Neill (Harbor Springs, Mich.-Harbor Springs), finished tied for eighth over the two day excursion playing as an individual, and garnered the lowest score of the tournament for the Green and White. O'Neill totaled a 156, 13 over-par. 

Senior Macy Ludwig (Effingham, Ill.-St. Anthony) finished with the lowest round of the day, landing at four over-par (76), to tie for 12th overall (160). Ludwig birdied back-to-back holes on both the front and the back nine in today's round. 

Senior Jadyn Spinks (Bloomington, Ill.-University High) and sophomore Emily Gastrau (Wauwatosa, WIs.-Wauwatosa East) tied for 24th as both finished with a 165.

No. 15 Rollins went home with the trophy (612), sitting eight strokes ahead of No. 16 Saint Leo, who claimed second place (620) in the seven team tournament. Union finished third (647), 27 strokes behind Saint Leo.  

The Titans are back in action for the WashU Spring Invite, March 22-23. The invite will take place at Crescent Farms in St. Louis, Mo.
