Men’s Tennis Drops Dual with Greenville

Titans return to action for four matches on spring break trip

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team dropped its dual against Greenville University, 6-1, Saturday night, March 1. With the loss, IWU falls to 2-5, while the Panthers up their record to 8-3. 

Junior Ben Vigneri (Casper, Wyo.-Phillips Exeter Academy) picked up the lone win for the Green and White. At No. 2 singles, Vigneri came back after dropping the first set, 6-4. He won the second with the same score, this time in his favor, before taking the super tiebreaker, 13-11. 

The Titans return to action for their annual spring break trip Monday-Thursday, March 10-13. IWU embarks on a trip to Gulf Shores, Ala., and will open the break against University of Saint Thomas (Texas) at 11 a.m. Monday, March 10.
