NAPERVILLE, Ill. – For the first time during the 2025 season, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team earned College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin weekly honors in senior goalkeeper Colin Tervo (West Linn, Ore.-West Linn) who was named the Defensive Player of the Week. The league office announced its selections Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 25.

Tervo spent just under 59 minutes in goal against Aurora University Saturday, Feb. 22, totaling 19 saves on the day, just two shy of his career-high. The senior anchored the Titan defense that allowed only seven goals in the Green and White's 13-7 win over the Spartans.

Tervo's performance on Saturday boosted his season saves total to 44 and his saves per game average to 14.67, good for the conference lead.

Illinois Wesleyan heads to Lisle, Ill. Wednesday, Feb. 26 to face Benedictine University. Game time at the Village of Lisle-Benedictine University Sports Complex is slated for a 6 p.m. start.
