WHEATON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's wrestling team dropped its dual against College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe, Wheaton College, 36-20, Saturday, Dec 20.

The Green and White got on the board with victories via forfeit from freshmen Brady Mouser (Bloomington, Ill.-Tri Valley) at 125 pounds and 133 pounder Tyson Zvonar (Frankfort, Ill.-Lincoln-Way East). 

Leading 12-0, junior Austin Johnston (Normal, Ill.-Normal West) extended IWU's lead to 16-0 with a 9-0 major decision over Aidan Laird. The Thunder crawled back with pins at 149, 157, and 165 pounds to take a 18-16 advantage. 

The Titans wrestled back the lead at 174 pounds with a 11-3 major decision from freshman Eli Moore (Highland Park, Ill.-Highland Park) at 174 pounds over Matthew Shehadey. With IWU up 20-18, Wheaton rattled off the final three bouts.

The Titans are back in action at home against Buena Vista, Friday, Jan 2. Action from the Shirk Center is scheduled for 6 p.m.
