Titans Take on Thunder to Tie Up 2025

IWU goes for their second dual meet win of the season

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's wrestling team (1-4, 1-4 CCIW) concludes its calendar slate at College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe, Wheaton College (0-2, 0-2 CCIW), Saturday, Dec. 20. Action from King Arena is scheduled for 2 p.m. 

IWU is coming off the North Central Invite last weekend where freshman Tyson Zvonar (Frankfort, Ill.-Lincoln-Way East) led the way with a 3-2 record. Also picking up wins for the Titans were freshman 125 pounders Dylan McGrew (Normal, Ill.-Normal West) and Brady Mouser (Bloomington, Ill.-Tri-Valley) along with freshman Silas Oberholtzer (Lake Barrington, Ill.-Barrington) at 157 pounds.

Last season, the Thunder defeated the Titans 40-12 at the CCIW duals. Then-sophomore Austin Johnston (Normal, Ill.-Normal West) completed a 3-0 day at the duals via a forfeit to Wheaton. The other Illinois Wesleyan win came from then-sophomore Jeremy Olson (Tremont, Ill.-Tremont) who pinned Jack Barron. Wheaton enters Saturday with no wins and two losses, a 44-6 loss to North Central College, Nov. 11 and a 39-9 defeat to Elmhurst University, Nov. 6.
