METAMORA, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team claimed its fourth consecutive College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championship Wednesday, Oct. 8 at the par-71, 5738-yard Metamora Fields Golf Club. The Titans shot a final round 303 to win by 43-strokes over second-place North Central and secure the program's 20th championship all-time. Junior Emily Gastrau (Wauwatosa, Wis.-Wauwatosa East) won the individual title, becoming the fourth Titan in-a-row to win medalist honors at the CCIW Championship.

Gastrau led from wire-to-wire claiming the CCIW individual championship. Gastrau fired a career-best 54-hole 222 total, using three birdies in her final round 76. She became the fourth different Titan in four years to claim the individual title joining Macy Ludwig (2024), Emma Thorman (2023), and Lexi Onsrud (2022).

Overall, IWU saw five place inside the top-eight individually with Gastrau, freshman Julia Henry (Homewood, Ill.-Homewood-Flossmoor), sophomore Gigi Zera (Glenview, Ill.-Loyola Academy), junior Nora Cerroni (Waukesha, Wis.-Waukesha North), and junior Grace Fagan (Kirkwood, Mo.-Visitation Academy) earning All-CCIW First Team honors.

Tying for third individually were Zera and Henry. In her CCIW Championship debut, Henry tied Fagan for Illinois Wesleyan's best round of the day at four-over 75. Henry and Zera recorded 54-hole totals of 227.

Improving on her individual finish from last season, Cerroni grabbed a share of fifth-place carding a 54-hole score of 228. In her championship debut, Fagan finished eighth.

Gastrau and Fagan were also awarded the CCIW's Elite 26 Award, presented to the all-conference student-athlete with the highest grade point average. Gastrau, a finance major, and Fagan, a psychology and Hispanic studies major, both boast 4.00 GPAs. A Titan has earned the distinction in every season since the league began doling out the award in 2021. Macy Ludwig shared the award with Elmhurst's Regan Bobich last season, and Lexi Onsrud won it the three years prior. Senior Brooke Erhard (Champaign, Ill.-St. Thomas More) was Illinois Wesleyan's CCIW RESPECT Award recipient.

In addition to winning the conference title, IWU secured the league's automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III National Championship. The national tournament is slated to be played at Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, Calif. May 19-22.

The Titans travel to Miramar Beach, Fla. for the Golfweek October Classic to close out the fall portion of the schedule. The tournament at Sandestin Golf Resort marks the final event of the fall season, Sunday-Tuesday, Oct. 12-14.
