BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team wraps up its two-match road trip Wednesday, Oct. 8 at College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe Wheaton College. Match time is set for 7 p.m. at Joe Bean Stadium in Wheaton, Ill.

Illinois Wesleyan (5-5-1, 0-1-0 CCIW) looks to rebound from a 7-2 loss at Carthage in its league opener Saturday, Oct. 4. The Titans rank second in the CCIW this season in scoring average, posting an average of 2.27 goals through 11 games. Sophomore Liza Wiley (Bloomington, Ind.-Home School) is second individually in the league with five assists this season and fourth with 13 points. Fellow Bloomington, Ind. native sophomore Keira Robinson (Bloomington, Ind.-Bloomington West) has five goals on the season, good for second in the conference.

Wheaton (4-4-3, 1-1-0 CCIW) is also looking to bounce back in Wednesday's match against IWU after falling, 5-1, at North Park Saturday, Oct. 4. The Thunder gained their first league win back on Saturday, Sept. 27 against Elmhurst, 1-0.

The Thunder, historically a women's soccer powerhouse, lead the all-time series against the Titans 32-6-5. Last season, Illinois Wesleyan gained its sixth win all-time, defeating Wheaton, 3-0, at Neis Field. Senior Bree Cordray (Bloomington, Ill.-University High) scored in the sixth minute of the game to give the Titans an early lead before Wiley found the back of the net twice in the win, once on an assist from Robinson.
