LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team remained at No. 6 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Poll, announced by the organization Tuesday, Oct. 21. Additionally, the Titans checked in at No. 12 in the first week of the National Power Index, otherwise known as NPI.

A 3-1 week, with its only loss to now-No. 4 UW-Eau Claire kept the Green and White at its best ranking in program history. Illinois Wesleyan picked up wins over North Central, Cornell, and UW-Stevens Point over the course of the week.

The top-three teams remained the same in the AVCA Ranking, with La Verne taking the top spot, followed by East Texas Baptist, and UW-Oshkosh. UW-Eau Claire moved from seventh to fourth, and Juniata remained consistent, checking in at No. 5.

The NPI, which the NCAA uses to determine the postseason field, has ETBU No. 1, followed by La Verne, UWEC, Colby, and UW-Oshkosh to round out the top-five.

IWU is the only team in the CCIW within the top-25 of both lists. The Titans travel to 13th-ranked WashU for a battle with the Bears tonight at 7 p.m.
