BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Coming off a three-game week, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team is set to host Hope College Wednesday, Sept. 25, for its second of four straight home contests. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Neis Field.

IWU enters Wednesday's match with a 2-5-1 record after last week's 1-1-1 showing. The Titans began its week at Washington University in St. Louis, where they fell 4-0 to the No. 1 team in the country. IWU bounced back on Saturday with an 8-3 win over Monmouth College, despite the contest being cut short due to weather. Freshman Liza Wiley (Bloomington, Ind.-Home School) led the way with her second hat trick of the season, while junior Maya Flemming (Crystal Lake, Ill.-Prairie Ridge) scored two goals, the first of her career. Also recording goals against Monmouth were senior Tegan Timerman (Peoria, Ill.-Peoria Notre Dame), junior Jenna Gravitt (Morton, Ill.-Morton), and sophomore Sophie Lampert (Hudson, Ill.-Normal West).

Sunday's contest against Dominican ended in a 3-3 draw after the Titans clawed back from a 2-0 deficit. Freshman Taylor Haun (Metamora, Ill.-Metamora Township) and Wiley were good for a goal and an assist apiece, while junior Bree Cordray (Le Roy, Ill.-University High) also notched a goal off a Timerman assist.

Freshman Ella Randall (San Francisco, Calif.-The Bay School of San Francisco) started in goal against Monmouth and Dominican while making a late appearance against WashU. In three contests, Randall recorded seven saves.

Hope enters Wednesday's match with a 3-2-1 record after an upset win over No. 25 University of Chicago, 2-1, Saturday, Sept. 21. IWU's series history with Hope dates back to 2003 as the Titans hold a 5-3-1 series record over the Flying Dutch. In their most recent meeting, Hope ran away with the 5-0 win, Sept. 13, 2023.
