ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Playing on the second day of the three-day Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional in St. Louis, Mo., hosted by Washington University in St. Louis, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team ran out of gas in the consolation brackets to conclude the trip. With the end, IWU finishes its fall portion of the 2024-25 season. 

Juniors Ben Vigneri (Casper, Wyo.-Phillips Exeter Academy) and Ian Turnbull (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington) concluded their time in doubles action, falling to the duo of Cole Shifferly and Tharakesh Ashokar from Wabash College, 8-4, in the consolation round of 16. 

Taking on Franciscan University of Steubenville's Aaron Heinlein in the consolation round of 32, Vigneri took an 8-0 victory to advance to the round of 16. Facing Gabriel Luna from College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe Augustana College, Vigneri's comeback finally ended after falling 8-3. 

The Titans will return to action after the new year with a full slate of dual matches scheduled.
